Each one of us has his or her vocation from God. That is a call to one of the four vocations: marriage, ordained ministry, consecrated life, dedicated single life. Often we speak of ourselves choosing a vocation whereas it is more true to say that God chooses us and we choose whether or not to follow his call. In the normal course of things we come to our decision by a process of discernment whereby we try to discover just what it is God is calling us to.
For those who feel called to monastic life the Vocation Pages listed here provide some Recommended Reading about monastic life in general and Trappist-Cistercian Life in particular and an outline of Requirements and Procedures for applying to our community.
If you have any vocational questions or would like to arrange for a meeting with the Vocation Director feel free to contact him at Vocation Director.
