On-Site Store

Effective December 30, the Abbey store will no longer be able to provide curbside service.

In our continued efforts to protect the health and safety of our elderly monks and our customers, the store will remain closed indefinitely. The church and retreat house also remain closed. When we can safely reopen, we will.

Monks’ Bread is available for home delivery when you order from our website at MonksBread.com.

We are sorry for any inconvenience. We want to assure everyone that you will remain in our daily prayers.

Thank you and God bless you!

In Remembrance of Mary Ann Mans

The brothers of the Abbey of the Genesee are deeply grateful to Mary Mans (1929-2014) whose generous bequest made possible the renovation of this space.  A graduate of Nazareth College and the University of Rochester, Mary taught high school in Rochester for 38 years.  Mary was a devout Roman Catholic who attended St. Boniface Church.  While she never contacted the monks directly-her gift came as a surprise-she trusted the Abbey would find a way to put her donation to good use.
