Lectio Notebook
It was, in fact, the infinite love of the Father which gave us Jesus: For God so loved the world – Jesus revealed to Nicodemus – that he gave his only begotten Son so that everyone who believed in him would not die but would have eternal life (John 3:15).
Jesus accepted this will of the Father. He came, revealed the Father to us and described his infinite and eternal love, and the fact that all those who accept him belong to the Father. Thus is the world saved through him.
