God is Peace, the principle of all kinds of communion. Let us extol peace with songs of peaceful praise. It is God-who-is-Peace who brings all things into unity, who is the cause of every agreement, who is the author of all harmony. All people strive for this Peace, so as to transform their multiplicity and their divisions into perfect unity and so as to be able to live in peaceful co-existence.

Peace, in fact, sheds its fullness on all beings. It unifies every situation by binding one extreme with the other and submitting the whole to the unity of a friendship which makes the extremes homogeneous. The Peace makes even the farthest confines of the earth share in its own blessedness. It unites everything together by means of a thousand unities, a thousand identities, a thousand conjunctions, a thousand communions.

This Peace allows the superabundance of its peacemaking fruitfulness to overflow its source all the time.
