Coming And Going
On Wednesday of this week we expect the return of Abbot Gerard from the regional meeting at Mepkin Abbey. Before his return Fr. John Denburger will leave this afternoon to give our Benedictine Brothers of Mt. Savior, NY near Elmira, their annual retreat. He is due to return Saturday, March 2nd.
Lectio Notebook
The Word of God tells us the amazing news that a definite acquittal exists for human beings; it is not just a very wonderful but unattainable legend. Jesus has destroyed the bond which stood against us with its legal demands; this he set aside, nailing it to the cross (Colossians 2:14).
He has completely destroyed it. There is …now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, Paul proclaims (Romans 8:1). No condemnation! Of any kind! For those who believe in Christ Jesus!
