Yesterday shortly before Mass our good Br. Andrew Nolan died in Highland Hospital, Rochester, NY. He had a massive heart attack while recovering from hip surgery which he had a few days earlier.
Br. Andrew was an assistant porter for many years and he will be fondly remembered by visitors to the Abbey for his kindness and gentleness and, at times, impish smile with a twinkle in his eyes.
His body will be received at the Abbey Tuesday at 3:30 P.M. The funeral Mass will be at 9:45 A.M. Wednesday followed by burial in the Abbey cemetery.
May he even now enjoy the fullness of eternal life!
